PhD position: Become part of an EU-wide consortium

We are offering a fully funded PhD position to enthusiastic and highly motivated candidates to join our research team at the VUB Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of researchers that is dedicated to fundamental and strategic research at the intersection of the fields of artificial intelligence and social sciences, and be part of a team on international researchers in the EU project PEER.

Your profile:

  • You have obtained a master’s degree in artificial intelligence, computer science with courses in AI, or a related domain. Experience with planning and reinforcement learning is a plus.
  • You have a solid academic track record. You are passionate about developing new machine learning models and making their decisions transparent to their users.
  • You strive for excellence and have a scientific mindset. 
  • You are a loyal team player, who can work autonomously and deliver solid scientific work. 
  • You have strong communication skills in English.
