Mateus is a visiting M.Sc student from Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos) in São Leopoldo, Brazil. He works primarily on projects related to Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning, with a focus on Options and Option-Critic algorithms.
He also has previous experience in projects related to NLP in the form of language models for question-answering, text translation, and question-generation, as well as with machine fault prediction in semiconductor factories. Mateus also has industry experience as a software developer at SAP, where he worked on creating infrastructure for ML workflows.
