I am a PhD student at the Artificial Intelligence lab, under the supervision of Ann Nowé. My research domain is Reinforcement Learning, with a focus on how humans/users can help RL agents learn faster to perform a task. My end goal is to provide a learning architecture enabling users to teach new tasks to their assistive robot, and to customize its preprogrammed skills. I obtained an FWO grant for strategic basic research, starting in January 2019.
In April 2023, I defended my PhD thesis titled “Guiding the Exploration Strategy of a Reinforcement Learning Agent”. I am currently working as a post-doctoral researcher at the AI Lab.
