Fabian Perez-Sanjines graduated with a BSc in Systems Engineering at the Universidad Mayor de San Simon in 2013. After working for five years as a Software Developer, he obtained his MSc in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2019. Currently, he works as a Ph.D. researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Lab and the Acoustics & Vibration Research Group / OWI-Lab at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
His Ph.D. project focuses on using deep learning for anomaly detection in wind turbines, as well as multi-agent optimization of wind farm monitoring pipelines.
His research topics include performance and condition monitoring of wind turbines, reinforcement learning for control, anomaly detection, and deep learning.
