The Talking Heads experiment is designed as an online, interactive shared experiment in which users from all over the world can participate. Using a standard Web browser, users can create agents and send them out to explore the Talking Heads network. When the agent returns from its travels, the user can review the vocabulary that it has learned, and teach it new words for the objects it has seen before sending it out again.

The tour gives an overview of the key concepts of the Talking Heads experiment, while the tips page offers users some advice on creating and managing their agents. Agents can be created by logging in to the server (the first time you log in, you'll need to supply a username, password and your mail address; we need to know your mail address so that we can send you confirmation of the creation of your agent and remind you of your password if you forget it) and choosing the 'Create Agent' option.
