On December 15, we had a Management Meeting at UGent. The main topic of the day concerned use-cases in the Telecom domain. Researchers were tasked to discuss about new learning algorithms, progress on previous experiments and possible extensions of the Telecom scenario to a multi-agent heuristic setting.
Following up closely on the meeting with 3E, the Smile-IT team met with Enervalis in order to discuss about their concerned use-cases. Part of their interests, just like with 3E, lies in optimizing energy performance at building level.
After meeting with REstore, we met with 3E on November 30, with the same goals in mind: Understand the interests and needs of 3E, and take them into account for our future research.
On November 25, the EnergyVille team had a meeting with REstore, in Antwerp. This meeting focused on understanding REstore's needs and interests. They will be taken into account in our future research.
On october 25, a Management meeting took place at the V.U.B. This was the occasion to present the many new researchers who joined the team. We heartly welcome
The SMILE-IT project was set up because of a very clear demand by a large number of Flemish companies to help in the automation of management of their networks. The term ’network’ is broadly defined as any system consisting of a large number of agents that collaborate. Examples are telecommunication, smart grids, intelligent car systems, etc. Flemish companies include device manufacturers, service provider that rely on the network to deliver their service, network management software providers, etc.
