Andrea Ravignani

Post-doctoral researcher

Between 2014 and 2019, I have performed research (as postdoctoral fellow) on vocal communication and rhythm in seals and humans at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Sealcentre Pieterburen, and Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics.

From Oct’11 until my graduation in Jun’14 I have been a PhD candidate in biology at Vienna, conducting research at the intersection of evolution, cognition, music perception and language sciences.

I pursued my master’s degree (Erasmus Mundus) in economics and mathematics & informatics at Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Bielefeld and Barcelona (Autónoma), focusing on (evolutionary and classical) game theory and statistical models. My master thesis focussed on social networks and games.

I did my undergraduate studies in mathematics at Rome, La Sapienza and Madrid (Complutense). I completed my bachelor thesis on cryptography and information theory.
