The goal of the task type classification is, for any one instance, to find the most fitting specific class. The instance is specified by a set of initial features. On the basis of these features an initial set of applicable classes is selected. These classes are than differentiated by finding features that separate these classes. Then more specific classes are searched for. When no more specific classes are found the process stops and the most specific class matching the instance along all the required features is returned.
