Participation to the summerschool is based on acceptance of an application. All those that are accepted will get FREE REGISTRATION. There are additionally 12 scholarships to help in covering accomodation and local travel.
Participation is particularly encouraged for PhD students and young postdocs from the social sciences or the computational sciences, with a strong interest in opinion dynamics studied through AI and Big Data gleaned from social media.
All participants have the opportunity and are encouraged to present a poster.

Prerequisites

1. The school accepts applications from any nationality, age, gender or background.
2. The language of the school is English so a basic ability in English as a second language is required.
3. The summerschool is hands-on. This means that a basic level in computer usage, computer programming, and mathematics is required to follow the lectures and technical ateliers. There will be a tutorial on sunday for those not familiar with Python or R but already proficient in programming in other languages.
