International Summer School on Agent-based Models of Creativity

Cortona (Italy) 16-20 september 2013

We are very far from achieving fluid language interaction between humans and autonomous robots, despite significant efforts, both in computational linguistics and robotics. There are many technical problems that remain to be solved but we are currently lacking researchers that master enough of the relevant disciplines to significantly advance the field and develop the new visionary breakthroughs that are needed.

This Summer School is intended for post-docs and pre-docs working on the borderlines between linguistics, Artificial Intelligence (specifically computational linguistics), and robotics. The school covers a wide range of topics through lectures and hands-on technical ateliers involving both software simulation and work with real robots. Participants have the opportunity to present their own work in a poster session.
