Short Bio

Bart Bogaerts graduated as MSc in Mathematics from the KU Leuven in 2011. Four years later, he defended his PhD, a joint degree of "engineering: computer science" (KU Leuven) and "science: informatics" (U Hasselt). His PhD tackles abstract, algebraical frameworks to unify semantics of knowledge representation logics.
After that, he spent one year in Aalto University (Finland) as a postdoc and two years as an FWO postdoctoral fellow at the KU Leuven. Nowadays, he is an assistant professor in computer science.

His research interests are spread throughout the field of knowledge representation. They range from high-level representation languages to performance optimisations in SAT, from abstract, algebraical frameworks to unify semantics of logics to implementation of knowledge base systems, from applications of KR to integration of declarative problem solving paradigms,...

His publications are not yet transfered to the VUB database; an up-to-date list of publications can be found here.
