Some useful links for transportation:

Getting to Brussels

Brussels is pretty well connected with the rest of Europe by plane and train:

  • Zaventem airport: the most convenient airport. Take bus 12 or 21, or the train (more expensive) to get downtown.
  • Charleroi airport: one hour far from Brussels. Reserve in advantage the bus that takes you directly to Midi train station.
  • Midi train station: trains, metro, trams and buses.

Accomodation

The most convenient hotels in the center of Brussels are those that are not far from a bus 95 stop. This bus takes around 25 min to get to Gare D'Etterbeek from the center and its frequency is quite good.

Public transport in Belgium

The best way to travel within Belgium is the train. You can check routes and fares (the weekend ticket is really advisable) in: http://www.belgianrail.be/en
